Founded in 1986, High-Lonesome Books publishes books on Western Americana, the Great Outdoors (mostly hunting and fishing), and Natural History. In addition to the 30, or so, titles we currently have in print, we also have an inventory of over 4000 books—some new, mostly used, rare and out of print—on the West, including western history, ranching, and western exploration; hunting and fishing, including how-to books as well as memoirs and books on hunting dogs and horses; natural history, including birds, snakes, rocks and minerals, and the environment; country living, including small farming, homesteading, gardening and agriculture; and a large outdoor adventure and miscellaneous section which includes anything from backpacking, whitewater
