We call the Lightscatter Press model of publishing ‘the book *and*’ or ‘the book *plus*’: our books are beautifully designed in print, but we also design a multimedia experience, launched from within the print book, that gives the reader expanded opportunities to encounter the text. Reading is evolving. We see changes in reading as our opportunity. Increasingly, people read at least some things digitally; increasingly, authors create, or contribute to, digital content that supplements their books; and increasingly, readers look for that digital content. We also see readers choosing their content across media types. By approaching publication intentionally and deliberately across media.
