Alexandria on Main is a locally owned bookstore and event venue. The bookstore features a children's area, cozy fireplace, plentiful new and used fiction selections along with special sections devoted to West Virginia authors, local history, nature, hiking, and outdoor adventures. For those that wish to learn more about faith, the Catholic and Christian selection offers unique titles. The Alexandria on Main Common Chamber welcomes authors for speaking engagements and book signings. Poetry Slams, general interest topics, acoustic performers and writers grace the stage throughout the year. A variety of bookclub meetings, game nights, homeschool groups and summer camps also call the Common Chamber home.
