Studio Moonfall, a tiny haunted bookstore full of interns from outer space, is Kenosha's home for local, independent authors. As the publishing workshop of Wisconsin author and illustrator Donovan Scherer, it's where he creates worlds of adventure with a sense of humor and a little bit of dread that everything will go terribly, terribly wrong. In 2009, he began the Fear & Sunshine saga of monsters, mad science, and a little hippie girl. Since then, diving into creating novels, comics, video games, coloring books, and more. In 2019, the Studio Moonfall indie bookstore opened in downtown Kenosha as a place to highlight local authors and the talented friends he's met along the way through comic conventions and the journey of self-publishing.
