Chaucer's Books is a local woman and veteran owned independent bookstore in the Loreto Plaza (on upper State Street) in Santa Barbara, CA. Packed with over 100,000 titles, Chaucer's has been a mainstay for booklovers since 1974. Alongside our excellent customer service, we are committed to providing our community with an impressive depth and breadth of books in any and all genres and subjects. Ask our staff for recommendations! If you can't find what you are looking for, we will do what we can to quickly get books that we don't have in stock.
