Joyride, a children’s bookshop in San Diego that opened in 2021, aims to provide a space for all children to discover the wonder, humanity, and capacity of books created and curated just for them. We believe in the inherent possibility of a story, and we believe in community partnerships. We want to be a resource for equal representation, independent publishers, and books in translation, and we value the stories of complex characters and ideas from underrepresented, international, and unique authors and illustrators. Come see us at one of two brick and mortar stores: Liberty Station & The New Children's Museum. You can also find us popping up around town in our book truck!
